Halloween 2013

I'm only about a month late - but here is a quick Halloween update.  This year the boys chose to go separate ways again in terms of their costumes.  I tried to talk Luke into being the State Puft Marshmallow Man to compliment Ryan's Ghostbuster, but he wasn't interested.  In fact, he went to bed that night crying that "Mama won't let me be Carl Sagan" - I told him it was just a suggestion, he can be whatever he wants.  So Luke likely became the only 7 year old to dress up as Carl Sagan in the history of Halloween.

The boys enjoyed helping Greg with the pumpkins.  They each drew a face on their own pumpkin and Greg attempted to carve what they wanted. They turned out somewhat odd - but it was their own creations.
Luke likes to watch shows like Nova and Cosmos - so he was quick to jump on Greg's idea of Carl Sagan for Halloween.  If you don't know who that is, you aren't alone. Here is a little info if you're interested, and a picture.  None of the kids and only a few of the adults at his school knew who he was - but those you did thought it was pretty funny.  At one house we went to that night, the man said something like "aren't you too young to be that smart?"
Greg introduced the boys to Ghostbusters this summer - Ryan loved that idea as long as he could be the guy who wore the goggles.

Past Halloween Costumes:
2012 - 1st Grade

2011 - Kindergarten

2010 - 4 years old

2009 - 3 years old (my favorite)

2008 - 2 years old

2007 - 1 year old
2006 - 5 months old

And last - Cub Scout update. The Rain-gutter Regatta was replaced this year with the Spaceship Derby.  Ryan made his to look like a Southwest Airlines plane and I'm not sure what Luke was going for.  I can't believe how fast they've gone from the picture above to one below.
