Finally, an Update!

Wow, it has been a long time since I have posted. There just isn't any time to keep up with the boys, unpack and post all at the same time. But, my sister and her 2 kids are coming tomorrow, so I wanted to unload some pictures from the last month before I have new ones of the boys and their cousins that I'll want to post.

Things the boys are doing:
L can count to 30 (he really likes 1-20 and 21-30 frustrate him). And he knows all of his letters. He likes to line all of the alphabet magnets on the refrigerator and he gets really mad if you try to move them and put them in order.
R is R. He is doing good. He is more cautious than L, but he is also more inquistive. He helped me make brownies last week (he actually helped to eat the batter). I would love to get a video of how he counts to 10. He raises the pitch of his voice and raises his eyebrows for each number.

Both boys have a new favorite movie, Finding Nemo. I fastforward through the beginning where Nemo's mama dies because it really upsets the boys (especially L), but they want to watch it every day. They call it "Nemo's Daddy" which makes sense because most of the movie is about Nemo's daddy rather than Nemo.

We put a playhouse together of the boys over the 4th of July weekend. They love it. They have started to play with sidewalk chalk, so their favorite thing to do is to draw on the playhouse. Hopefully they can enjoy it for several years.
Everything else is going fine here. I have a short time left before I go back to work, but even then, it will only be part time. I've really enjoyed spending time with the boys, even if it doesn't always show. I've been trying new things with them lately, like finger painting, playing with peanut butter playdough, and drawing on the windows with window markers. All of these things are messy, which I don't do well with, but I'm trying to expose them to new things. Below are some pictures of the last few weeks.

Our great friends Tim and Stephanie are here for a few days now. They boys are always so happy to see them. We're going to go the pool this afternoon and wear them out.
Stay tuned for pictures with Aunt Conny and cousins Jacob and Olivia. We have plans to go to the Children's Museum, the Denver Zoo, the Pike's Peak Cog Railroad, the pool and many other activities to keep all of the little people busy and happy.

At our local grocery store for about $4. R loves it and spends almost the entire time floating and lounging.
