Glasses and Mini-Golf

Last weekend we took the boys to an indoor mini-golf place.

Ryan is really good at golf - he has great hand-eye coordination and the patience to try his best with every shot.

Luke does ok - he mainly likes to randomly swing the club - sometimes he hits the ball, sometimes he doesn't - but it is all fun to him.

The boys came home with these self-made hats from school for President's Day.  Luke is wearing a George Washington hat - Ryan's is rather self-explanatory.

And in other big news - Luke has to get glasses - these are the ones he picked out and we should get them sometime next week.  It turns out he is far-sighted - not severely, but enough that he will need to wear glasses when he is at school.  The eye doctor thinks that Luke has to focus on each word that he reads, which can tire him out and slow him down.  Luke is already a great reader - but glasses will probably help with his fluency.  Ryan now wants glasses, too - so we promised to take him to Target to pick out super cool sunglasses.
