Happy Birthday!!!

The boys are now 2 years old!!! I can't believe how quickly time has gone with them. I think that I love each new stage that they are in. They were super sweet babies, but they are funny little toddlers now who provide us with constant entertainment. We had a birthday party for the boys at a local park last Friday with friends and family. R and L had a great time and never realized that the party was for them, they just thought that it was a cookout with lots of people and good food. We had a Sesame Street themed party complete with balloons, a Cookie Monster pinata, and Pin the Nose on Elmo. I made the boys cupcakes of several of the characters. Thank you to all who gave the boys such great birthday gifts. We got the boys a train set and others contributed to it by adding neat pieces. They also got lots of cool trucks to play with both inside and out. R and L got the best present of all on Saturday when they got their new house and huge backyard. Below are several pictures of the party. If I have chance, I'll post some more on Shutterfly.

The cupcakes that I made and decorated for the boys. I found these online and taught myself how to do cake decorating just so I could make these. They took several hours, but they were alot of fun.

How many people does it take to grill hotdogs and corn?

Happy Birthday, boys!!!

R loved his Cookie Monster cupcake.

L loved his Elmo cupcake, he wore it on his face and shirt.

R and his train. He will not share with L.
We're in the middle of moving right now and things are a bit chaotic. The boys are doing pretty good adjusting to things, but we aren't sleeping at the new house yet. Greg, my mom and I have all been busy painting and moving things from one house to another. We are moving the furniture on Saturday and we still have a ton to do before then. I've barely packed anything and we have to finish the boys' room and Greg's office tomorrow. It will get done. The good thing is that we have until the end of June to clear the current house out and get it cleaned up.

On a different note, the boys had their 2 year check up today. L weighs 32 pounds and is 33 1/4 inches tall. R weighs 30.5 pounds and is 34 1/2 inches tall. Hopefully L will continue to slow down on his weight so his carseat will last until he is 4 years old and 40 pounds.

New things:

L said his first 3 word sentence yesterday: "More cookie, please."

R said his first real 2 word sentence today: "Up, please." He says Bye, Bye to whatever all of the time, but this was a little more than that.

R has also started throwing some major temper tantrums lately. He had a time out in the rug section of Linens and Things yesterday. He screamed the whole time until I asked him if he was done and would like to go and find Nana and Bro. He then stopped crying and was fine after that. We found out today that he is cutting 2 of his 2 year molars, which is probably contributing to his foul mood.

Here is our little Picasso. L drew a picture of a "baby" tonight. I think it looks like the little adopted Canadian brother on Southpark.

Below are videos of the boys. The first is of the boys eating their cupcakes. The second is of the boys getting into a fight. I was trying to get a video of L buckling his "baby" into his booster seat, but it quickly turned into a confrontation over the bus. R is so camera hungry that he let go of his possession of the bus and L took the chance to take it.
